The Character Wheel of Development

The Character Wheel of Development is the sixth key idea in the UTOK. It identifies the key domains of human development that emerge across the lifespan. The five domains identified are: 1) Traits; 2) Identity; 3) Values and Virtues; 4) Abilities and Talents; and 5) Challenges and Pathologies. One way to think about the Wheel is to align it with Ken Wilber's concept of domains that have "lines and levels". It is important to note that the center of the Wheel of Development is CAST, as the domains of adaptation provide the axes that channel development in the domains across time.

Here is a TOK-21 Short Video on the Wheel of Development. Here is a longer educational video on understanding how to apply CAST and the Wheel of Development to your life.
